Angelina Jolie has reportedly reacted to ex-husband Brad Pitt’s tumultuous equation with kids, especially Maddox and Pax. After the “Babylon” actor allegedly strained his bond with most of his kids, it hasn’t gone well with his former wife. According to Radar Online’s exclusive report, a source shared that Jolie has been telling her friends that she’s “heartbroken” to witness this dwindling relationship.
Although she is upset, Jolie has reportedly always acted according to what she believed was right for her children. Another source close to the star claimed that she has maintained her role as a “protective mom.” The insider reported that Jolie “hates” Pitt for using kids’ mistakes as a reason to cut ties with them. They continued, “She also hates the way he has been portraying himself as a victim in all this.”
The source added that the mom-of-six has always given the kids their freedom. As per the insider, the actor believes “bike crashes and a drunken night out” are a part and parcel of dealing with teenagers’ growth phase.
Meanwhile, Pitt is reportedly looking at “permanent estrangement” from sons Maddox and Pax. Albeit “devastated,” a source close to the family stated that he has realized that the bond can never be repaired. According to the insider, the actor believes that someone turned the older boys against him.
This report comes after photos captured Pax leaving the Chateau Marmont earlier this month. He appeared seemingly drunk, leaning on his friends for support.
The 21-year-old has also reportedly suffered two back-to-back e-bike accidents last year. The source claimed that his recent behavior has been the “final straw” for Pitt. The insider also shared that the star is “completely detached” from Pax and has no hopes of a reconciliation.
