Prince Harry seemed to have extended an olive branch for a royal reunion, but it might not be taken in a positive light. According to a source, the Duke of Sussex would invite King Charles and other royals to the 2027 Invictus Games. While it might appear to be his way of reuniting with his family, his invitations could go unanswered.
Prince Harry takes a another step toward royal reunion, sources say
As the founder of The Invictus Games, Prince Harry seemingly invited his father, King Charles, and other royal family members next year. The games will return for their eighth iteration in 2027 in Birmingham, England. It will occur close to the duke’s home, and thus, he reportedly desires to invite his people.
However, since Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the palace, the royals have often avoided any interaction with the couple. According to RadarOnline, a source claimed that the 40-year-old prince is putting in an effort by inviting family members. He seemingly wants to “rebuild bridges with the monarchy after years of estrangement.” But his intention might not be taken into consideration. “It smacks of desperation and it’s doubtful any of them will turn up,” the insider added.
Meanwhile, a recent Daily Mail report quoted a former aide of the late Queen Elizabeth II, claiming that Harry should stop playing a “victim.” Channel 5’s documentary, “Prince Harry: My Terrible Year,” was out on August 9. In it, Ailsa Anderson shared her opinion on the Duke of Sussex. She urged him to change his victim mentality and write his “own script” and become the “hero” of his own story. The aide raised questions about his loyalty towards his royal family, especially when he allegedly plans his return.
For those unversed, the aides of Harry and King Charles met in London at the beginning of July. They reportedly arranged the “peace talk” considering a reconciliation between the estranged family members. Apparently, the monarch has given the green signal to bring him back, along with his wife, Meghan Markle, and kids — Archie and Lilibet.
