Donald Trump Appears Over a ‘Million Times’ in Epstein Files, Says Jamie Raskin

Rep. Jamie Raskin revealed that searches for “Trump” in the unredacted Epstein files returned over a million results, highlighting a memo that conflicts with Donald Trump’s previous statements about Jeffrey Epstein.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) told Axios he searched the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files for “Trump” and found “more than a million” results.

He highlighted a 2009 email between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. In it, Epstein relayed his lawyers’ account of a call with Donald Trump. According to Raskin, Trump said, “No, Jeffrey Epstein was not a member of Mar-a-Lago, but he was a guest at Mar-a-Lago, and no, we never asked him to leave” (via Axios).

This appears to contradict Trump’s public claim that he removed Epstein from Mar-a-Lago for approaching spa workers. The files also include 2019 FBI testimony from the former Palm Beach police chief. He said Trump told him, after Epstein’s early 2000s arrest, that he had kicked Epstein out and called Maxwell “evil,” urging police to “focus on her.”

Raskin stressed the memo was “just one memo out of 3 million.” He said, “The idea that we could get through a meaningful fraction of them is just ridiculous.” He criticized the DOJ’s file viewer as “confusing, unreliable, and clunky.”

After publication, Raskin clarified he searched for “Trump,” “Donald,” and “Don.” The search returned over a million results. He said, “I obviously didn’t have the time to review each one,” and added, “I obviously cannot guarantee that every mention of a Donald is Donald Trump.”

He said the Mar-a-Lago email was “one of the first documents I came across.” Raskin also criticized the DOJ’s setup. “To me, this whole rollout of saying that members can come from nine to five to sit at those four computers, is just part of the coverup.” He said the administration claimed unreleased documents were “duplicative,” and replied, “Well go ahead and release them then!”
