Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were spotted together during another recent outing. However, scenes from their so-called date night differed significantly from what typically defines a date. While couples often choose private and low-key settings, Kelce and Swift’s outing involved several other people. Moreover, the presence of others largely overshadowed Swift’s appearance.

Technically, it would not be accurate to describe Kelce and Swift’s recent outing as a “date night“. Instead, the evening marked Kelce’s reunion with Jeff Rotsky, one of his former coaches who played a significant role in developing his football skills.
Rotsky coached Kelce during his time at Cleveland Heights High School in Ohio. The 60-year-old’s guidance is widely credited as one of the factors that shaped Kelce’s career. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end honored his former coach by attending a reunion ceremony organized by the Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School football team, where Rotsky currently coaches.
Later, Rotsky expressed his excitement about meeting “Kelce,” “his family, and six former players” at the reunion (via ENews).
Photos from the event showed Kelce interacting freely with members of his football community. Swift, however, appeared only in the background of one image.
While the photos did not show Rotsky interacting with Swift at the event, the two have met previously. In an October 2025 interview with The Times, the 60-year-old praised Swift’s grounded nature and recalled their first conversation.
“She is the kindest young lady you ever met and down to earth,” Kelce’s former coach said. “The first time we met, her opening line was, ‘I’ve been looking forward to meeting you, I want to hear all the dirt about Travis.’”
The friendly rapport between Swift and Rotsky suggests that Kelce’s former coach was pleased to see her attend the reunion.
