Travis Kelce speaks on Chiefs’ playoff exit
Travis Kelce has finally addressed the Chiefs’ playoff exit on the December 17 episode of the New Heights podcast. Jason Kelce stated, “It is the first time since 2014 that the Chiefs are eliminated from the post season, which is an outrageous stat. How do you approach the rest of the season?”
Travis replied, “Yeah, it is kinda unfamiliar territory at this point for a lot of guys in the building. I’m the only one on the team that’s been long enough to see us not make the playoffs. There’s an integrity thing here. When you sign up for the gig, you’re living out your dreams, a kid’s dream that never got a chance to do this.”
He paused, composed himself, and responded, “You’re playing this game obviously to win Super Bowls. You are playing this game to be in those playoff scenarios and stuff. At the end of the day, man, you are playing in the NFL. That’s a f****** blessing, man. That’s an honor. It’s an honor to be out there and feel the soreness after the game ‘cause you are out there f****** doing it.”
Travis added quietly, “It’s an honor to be out there in a uniform playing for the guys around you, your family, people back home that are watching you. They have known you since you were a little kid. Dreaming about this moment, being in the NFL.”
Finally, he made a thunderous declaration on the New Heights podcast. He fired, “If there’s a game, I’m going to go out there and love f****** playing in it. No matter if it’s a game that gets us in the playoffs or a game that seems like it does not have any implications. That’s the integrity you got to f****** go out there with, man.” Jason proudly added, “No doubt, well said, Trav.”
