It seems that Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan‘s entanglement with law enforcement is never-ending, as the 44-year-old has been arrested once again, making it the sixth time in the last five years. This time, his fiancée, Faye Cartwright, has also been arrested and is facing five charges.

With another arrest in Eugene, Oregon, Zachery Ty Bryan’s scuffle with the law continues. Jail records show that authorities took the Home Improvement star into custody for allegedly violating his probation from his prior domestic violence conviction (via PEOPLE). Officials are holding him without bail at Lane County Jail. Reports state that officials will release him on December 3, 2025. This marks his sixth arrest in five years.
The actor’s fiancée, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, has also been taken in this time. She is facing five charges, including DUI and first-degree assault. Cartwright also remains in custody.
Prior to this, Bryan’s most recent arrest came in January. A woman involved in the incident allegedly claimed that Bryan had assaulted her. Bryan had allegedly “choked her and punched her in the face multiple times.” The woman was reportedly Cartwright, with whom he shares three children.
Authorities arrested Bryan twice for DUI in 2024. A year before that, prosecutors charged him with fourth-degree felony assault, third-degree robbery, and misdemeanor harassment.
For his domestic assault in 2020, the court handed Bryan a 36-month probation, which he is still on.
After the assault, Cartwright showed her support for the father of her children in 2023. “Trauma can bring struggles in many shapes and forms. It’s a horrible situation that’s going to be spun in so many ways. I’ve learned firsthand the truth will never align with what’s been put out there,” she told US Weekly at the time, “I ask everyone to please be respectful of our privacy for the sake of the children and our families so the healing process can begin.”
Bryan is best known for his role as Brad Taylor in all eight seasons of Home Improvement.
