Nick Offerman recently reunited with fellow Parks and Rec actor Jim O’Heir in a fun way. The pair’s reunion took place after the former pranked the latter on a flight they shared. Offerman played Ron Swanson in the popular sitcom. Meanwhile, O’Heir portrayed Garry “Jerry” Gergich, who became the subject of a running gag in which other characters called him by similar-sounding but incorrect names, such as Larry and Terry.
Nick Offerman pulls a prank on Jim O’Heir during a flight reunion
Parks and Rec stars Nick Offerman and Jim O’Heir shared a flight to Indianapolis. However, the latter was unaware of this until the former pulled a prank on him with the help of flight attendants. Taking to Instagram, O’Heir shared a selfie of himself and Offerman along with a caption describing their humorous reunion.
“Nick and I were on the same flight,” O’Heir wrote. “I didn’t know that until we were about to land and he got on the speaker and started talking about Jerry, Gary, Larry, and Terry Gergich. The flight attendants were also in on it. It was awesome.”
Interestingly, the Strip Mall star shared the same post twice. However, the background of the photo caption was distinct in each photo. Moreover, one of the photos didn’t mention the flight attendants’ involvement in Offerman’s prank.
O’Heir also shared a follow-up Instagram post, which was a video showcasing Offerman’s prank. In the footage, Offerman could be seen instructing passengers on what to do when they landed. He told them to hand over any trash they wanted to discard to the flight attendants. He also jokingly said, “In this aisle we say, don’t half a** your safety, only whole a**.”
The Last of Us actor continued, “If you’re headed to areas like Muncie, and your last name is Gergich, first name Jerry, Larry, Barry, or Gary, please behave yourself and travel safely.” The camera then cut to O’Heir laughing. After Offerman concluded, the nearby flight attendant addressed passengers, jokingly encouraging them to listen to Offerman and not the flight attendants.
O’Heir’s video included the caption, “The video of @nickofferman pranking me on our flight to Indy has surfaced. So great. I love that man.”
