Tom Holland Changes His Spider-Man Suit Every Two Weeks for ‘Gross’ Reason

Tom Holland shared a rather gross detail about his Spider-Man suit. He recently revealed that he would change the suit every two weeks after it develops a musty smell. The English actor who has played the webslinger for almost 10 years now will return in Brand New Day, set to launch in Summer 2026. The film is expected to serve as a soft reset to the MCU Spider-Man franchise by bringing the character back to his street-level roots.

Tom Holland talks about his Spider-Man suit

The Spider-Man: No Way Home actor recently sat down for an interview. In it, he discussed his brand partnership with Prada and his work on Brand New Day. During the discussion, Esquire suggested that Holland’s Spider-Man suit would get a “little musty” after he wore it for some time and that he would need a fragrance to cover up the smell. “Yeah, it definitely does,” the 29-year-old acknowledged. “I probably get a new suit every two weeks, I reckon.”

The Impossible actor was also asked what he expected from his next outing as Spider-Man. He responded that he wanted “to do justice to Peter Parker’s character.” “I want to bring the fans something that’s really worthy of their time,” he stated. “And I’m very grateful for their investment in our franchise.” Holland clarified that he wasn’t referring to the financial investment. “I mean the time to go to the cinema three times,” he added. “That’s a big ask.”

The Marvel star also revealed that he discreetly did online research on fan discussions to see what they wanted from Spider-Man in his next appearance. He added that he would pitch fan ideas to Marvel and tell them that they should be doing things that appealed to fans. “And I think that’s exactly what we are doing,” he further stated. “So it’s been a really fun process developing the movie.”

Tom Holland shared that his participation in the creative decision-making for Spider-Man: Brand New Day was the first time he was allowed to be part of the process. He noted that it was a “stressful experience.” “But I think where we’ve got to, now that we’re shooting, we are shooting absolute gold,” he further shared. Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
