Actress Angelina Jolie is focusing on motherhood and being single following her divorce from Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt. The Hollywood star, who turned 50 this month, shares six kids, Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (20), Shiloh (19), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16), with her ex-husband.
A recent US Weekly report notes that Jolie is happy to savor her summer. She is enjoying having all of her children under one roof. The insider stated, “She may be a huge movie star, filmmaker, and humanitarian, but her ultimate and most rewarding role remains being a mom.”
Currently, all of her younger children are residing on the West Coast with her for the summer. Maddox, the oldest, has also visited. Furthermore, the source also shed light on Jolie’s current dating status.
The insider noted that the Girl, Interrupted actress is in no rush to date and has no mystery man in her life. “She’s single and she seems very content,” the source added. Jolie is focusing her time on her children, as “the kids are growing up so fast, she knows these times won’t last forever.”
When it comes to parenting, the source revealed that Jolie has a “super chill” attitude. Even as the “epitome of a superstar,” at home she’s a regular mom, juggling her career and a house full of kids and dogs who run wild and have free rein of the house.”
The report further discloses that Jolie prefers an “unstructured environment” where her kids can follow their passion. The source divulged, “There are bikes, skateboards, and scooters” scattered around her $37 million Los Angeles mansion.
Meanwhile, Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19, 2016, after two years of tying the knot. While filing for divorce, Jolie had cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. After eight years of legal proceedings, the divorce was finalized in 2024.
