Sean Combs, also known as Sean “Diddy” Combs, has had his prison release date moved up slightly, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website. He has appealed the conviction and is scheduled to appear in court on April 9, 2026.

Ahead of his hearing on April 9, 2026, appealing his conviction, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ prison release date has been moved up slightly. As per the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, the disgraced musician’s release date has been moved up by 10 days. This adjustment follows an earlier change that reduced his sentence timeline by more than a month.

Combs was originally scheduled for release on June 4, 2028. The date was later moved to April 25, 2028, and has now been updated to April 15, 2028.

The timeline for Combs’ release has changed multiple times in recent months, with dates shifting between May 2028 and June 2028 before being moved earlier in 2028.

Last year, Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution following a federal trial in New York. He received a 50-month prison sentence. Additional charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, were brought during the case, but he was acquitted of those counts.

Before sentencing, Combs spent nearly a year at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

In December, Combs’ legal team filed an appeal of his conviction and sentence, arguing that the punishment was excessive. Federal prosecutors have asked the appellate court to uphold both the conviction and the sentence.

Sean Combs is scheduled to appear in court on April 9, 2026.
