Joe Budden recently criticized Sean “Diddy“ Combs for his criminal acts. The American broadcaster and former rapper recently took a strong stance against Diddy. The 45-year-old called for an even harsher punishment after learning in detail about his acts from the Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning. He mentioned that the former record producer didn’t get “enough time” in prison, considering the crimes he had committed.
Joe Budden says he was ‘absolutely p****d’ with Diddy after watching his Netflix docuseries
Joe Budden called for Diddy to be imprisoned for a longer time during the latest episode of the Joe Budden TV podcast. However, this was far from the only remark he made about the 56-year-old, who is currently behind bars. Besides bashing Diddy, the podcaster also lauded the minds behind Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which exposes his crimes.
Budden discussed various aspects of the Netflix docuseries throughout the episode. He started by appreciating the creative team behind the documentary, which also includes the famous rapper and actor 50 Cent. Budden rated the series, “a pretty well done piece.”
The “Pump It Up” rapper’s subsequent comments revealed that he loved the docuseries for multiple reasons. Initially, he praised the way the presentation efficiently served its intended purpose of painting Diddy as the villain. Budden admitted that he got “absolutely p****d” with Diddy by the second episode of the series. He revealed, “I was saying, ‘F*** him,’ by episode two.”
The rapper-turned-podcaster also extolled how Sean Combs: The Reckoning clarified several lesser-known incidents behind Diddy’s larger crime scene. He appreciated the series’ commentary on the infamous East Coast vs. West Coast rivalry in hip-hop culture, which claimed the lives of icons The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur.
“It basically blames Puff for Biggie and Pac [‘s death],” mentioned Budden. “This piece takes a lot of the reasonable doubt away. They do a good job of laying it at his feet.”
Subsequently, he expressed his judgment of Diddy after gaining in-depth knowledge about his crimes from Sean Combs: The Reckoning. “It did make you feel, like, at the end, he didn’t get enough time [in prison],” said Budden, who once was a renowned hip-hop artist.
Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October 2024 and is currently serving his sentence.
