Arnold Schwarzenegger Turns Bodybuilding Coach for Son Joseph Baena

Arnold Schwarzenegger is stepping back into familiar territory, this time as a mentor, guiding his son Joseph Baena as he prepares to enter the competitive bodybuilding world.

The legendary bodybuilder is once again in the gym spotlight, but now he is coaching instead of competing. Recent photos shared by Joseph Baena show the father-son duo training together at Gold’s Gym Venice. It is a legendary fitness hub closely tied to Arnold’s rise (via EW).

In the images, Schwarzenegger watches closely as Baena lifts heavy weights, offering guidance and motivation during the session. Baena even nodded to his dad’s classic training mindset in his caption, writing, “You have to shock the muscles!” This is a philosophy Arnold has repeated for decades.

Baena, now 28, is preparing to take things to the next level. He is set to make his official bodybuilding debut at the NPC Natural Colorado State competition, per TMZ. Schwarzenegger famously won seven Mr. Olympia titles and became one of the most recognized names in fitness history.

According to reports, Arnold has been actively helping Baena fine-tune his training, posing, and overall preparation. This marks a big shift, as Baena had previously built his fitness journey independently.

Joseph Baena is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s youngest son. His identity became public in 2011 when it was revealed that Schwarzenegger had two sons just days apart in 1997: Christopher Schwarzenegger with Maria Shriver, and Baena with Mildred Patricia Baena.

Today, Schwarzenegger remains actively involved in his life, and the bond between the two has grown stronger over time. Baena has documented his fitness progress on social media for years and even landed a Men’s Health cover in 2022, showing how serious he is about the sport.

Now, with Arnold firmly in his corner, Baena is entering the competitive stage with both experience and legacy behind him. The name may be different, but the influence is clear, and fans are already drawing comparisons to the bodybuilding icon himself.
