Arnold Schwarzenegger Wins ‘Frame-Mogging’ Trend With Throwback Video

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently joined an online trend in his own classic style. The Hollywood star and former bodybuilding champion shared a throwback clip from his competitive days after learning about the viral “frame-mogging” slang.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gets introduced to ‘frame-mogging’ trend

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently reacted to the internet term “frame-mogging,” a slang phrase for dominating a group visually with a stronger physique. Someone explained the trend to him, and he responded with a throwback. Schwarzenegger posted a video montage on X (formerly Twitter) featuring clips from his competitive bodybuilding days. The footage showed him posing on stage and flexing during contests, highlighting the powerful build that made him a legend in the sport.

In the caption, he joked that someone had just tried to explain “frame-mogging” to him, letting the old footage serve as his answer. The post quickly gained traction online, drawing thousands of likes and comments from fans enjoying the classic bodybuilding moment.

The montage mostly showed Schwarzenegger during the prime of his bodybuilding run in the 1970s and early 1980s. Back then, he ruled the sport and captured the Mr. Olympia crown seven times. His massive frame and razor-sharp muscle definition turned him into a global fitness superstar long before social media trends were even a thing.

Fans jumped into the comments after the clip went viral. One user joked that Schwarzenegger had been “gifted by God” with discipline and a crazy physique. The star quickly shut that idea down. He replied that discipline is not something people are born with. According to him, it is built step by step every single day. Instead of being jealous, he told the fan to “get to work.”

The term “mogging” comes from the phrase “Alpha Male of Group,” a slang expression that started in certain online subcultures. Over time, different versions popped up. Phrases like face mogging, height mogging, and style mogging describe someone who visually outshines everyone else in a particular way. Critics argue that the trend can push unhealthy competition and comparison. Still, the slang has recently drifted into mainstream internet humor and meme culture.
