Nancy Guthrie Case: Man Detained Details What FBI Did

The case of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance has stretched into another month, and one previously detained suspect named Luke Daley is pleading innocent. Guthrie disappeared in the early hours of February 1, with investigators saying someone disconnected her doorbell camera at 1:47 a.m., and her pacemaker app later lost contact with her phone. Moreover, authorities confirmed blood found on her porch belonged to her, and they have treated the case as a suspected kidnapping.

Luke Daley confirms he has ‘nothing to do’ with Nancy Guthrie case after detention incident

Surveillance video related to Nancy Guthrie’s potential kidnapping case shows a masked man at the door with a handgun and an Ozark Trail Hiker Pack — and one suspect, named Luke Daley, went on camera to claim he has nothing to do with the case.

Despite a multi-agency effort involving the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, there have been no arrests as of now. Now, in a full interview with Briana Whitney, a crime reporter at 3TV and CBS 5 in Phoenix, Daley addressed the claims, saying, “It’s not me,” adding, “I have nothing to do with this case.”

Daley told Whitney he did not know who took Guthrie. He claimed, “If I did, I would happily tell FBI, police, anything,” while describing the night deputies stopped him while he drove his Range Rover home.

Daley said two sheriff vehicles followed him and pulled him over outside Culver’s. He claimed, “They had me cuffed in the back of a cop car, detained,” adding that he stayed there for “probably maybe four or five hours.”

Daley said FBI agents questioned him, searched and towed his vehicle, and took his phone. Hence, he “had no way to get a hold of anyone.” Moreover, he claimed that the agents never explained why they focused on him, stating, “They didn’t tell me any information about that.”

Luke Daley said he spoke out because the accusations have followed him everywhere, but he kept repeating that he was not involved in Nancy Guthrie’s case.
