Daredevil: Born Again To Bring Back Another Netflix Hero – Report

A new rumor suggests that Marvel Studios might bring back a key character from the Netflix Daredevil series for Daredevil: Born Again. Except for Punisher, the character has had a prominent role in most shows within the Netflix universe, serving as a primary connective thread. During their appearances, they not only provided invaluable aid to the heroes but also established strong dynamics with them.

Rosario Dawson could be back as Claire Temple in Daredevil: Born Again

According to a new rumor, Rosario Dawson will reportedly reprise her role of Claire Temple in the next season of Daredevil: Born Again. This rumor comes from notable industry insider Daniel Richtman. He revealed on Patreon that the Ahsoka star was reportedly having discussions with Marvel Studios about returning as the character.

The above rumor comes two months after Richtman shared on Patreon that Dawson’s Temple would reportedly appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Notably, Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed Dawson’s involvement in the aforementioned projects as of writing.

Although Claire Temple’s MCU return is unconfirmed, Rosario Dawson has expressed interest in returning. In February 2024, after a fan asked her on X if she was willing to reprise her role, she said, “Of course! #unfinishedbusiness.”

The live-action incarnation of Claire Temple is a composite character. She has elements of both the comic book version of Temple and a character called Night Nurse, also known as Linda Carter.

Dawson’s Temple first appeared in Netflix’s Marvel universe in Daredevil Season 1. A Metro-General Hospital nurse, she first meets Matt Murdock (Daredevil) after finding him injured and lying in a dumpster. She subsequently nurses him back to health and begins providing medical aid for him from then on. Temple and Murdock fall in love. However, they decide not to pursue a relationship due to the risk that comes with the latter’s vigilante lifestyle.

She later appears in Jessica Jones, treating a gravely injured Luke Cage after Jessica Jones brings him to the hospital. Temple is then seen in Daredevil Season 2, quitting her job at Metro-General. This is after her co-worker dies in an attack perpetrated by the Hand, and Metro-General tries to cover it up.

Temple makes subsequent appearances in Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Defenders. In these appearances, she falls in love and forms a relationship with Cage. She also becomes acquainted with Danny Rand (Iron Fist). Unfortunately, her relationship with Cage ends when his personal issues become too much for her to handle.
