Daredevil could be in Avengers: Secret Wars after Born Again Season 3
A new industry rumor suggests that Charlie Cox may reprise his role as Daredevil in Avengers, potentially following the conclusion of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.
According to renowned scooper Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios is considering bringing Cox’s Daredevil into Avengers: Secret Wars, which is currently slated for release in 2027. As of now, Marvel Studios has not commented on the report. However, the report has prompted renewed discussion about Daredevil’s future (via ComicBookMovie.com).
Cox first appeared as Daredevil in the MCU through a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. However, despite fan demand for a team-up, the character is not currently expected to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Previously, Cox has openly addressed the idea of Daredevil joining the Avengers in past appearances. Speaking at GalaxyCon New Orleans, the actor discussed how Matt Murdock might respond to such an opportunity. “I think Matt Murdock would kind of think about it,” Cox said (via PopVerse).
The Daredevil star noted that the character is not inclined toward collaboration, adding, “He’s a lone wolf; he likes to work by himself. He’s a reluctant kind of team-up guy, I think. A bit like Frank Castle is.” However, Cox made his enthusiasm clear, stating, “Charlie Cox would be absolutely thrilled. I would be chomping at the bit to do that.”
Outside of the Avengers rumors, Cox is currently filming the second season of the Disney+ series, with production having begun earlier this year. Showrunner Dario Scardapene has confirmed that Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in March 2026.
Marvel Studios has not commented on Daredevil’s potential involvement in Avengers: Secret Wars. Until an official confirmation is made, the report remains unverified.
