Elon Musk’s platform X did not stream Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show as originally planned. On February 9, 2026, Turning Point USA posted on X, “Due to licensing restrictions, we are unable to stream The All-American Halftime Show on X. Head on over to our YouTube channel tonight around 8PM ET to watch the full show.”
The show was created as an alternative to the official NFL halftime performance featuring Bad Bunny. Turning Point USA, founded by the late Charlie Kirk, organized the event to highlight themes of “faith, family, and freedom” with performances by Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.
Turning Point USA announced the streaming issue just before the Super Bowl began. The game featured the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, February 8.
Andrew Kolvet, a spokesperson for Turning Point USA, previously stated, “These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too” (via USA Today). Turning Point USA promoted the event for weeks as a patriotic alternative for viewers opposed to the NFL’s official halftime lineup.
Bad Bunny, whose halftime selection reportedly caused backlash among some conservatives, had previously released a song featuring a mock Trump voice saying, “This country is nothing without the immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans.”
Donald Trump criticized the official performers, telling the New York Post, “I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”
