Khloé Kardashian gets honest about the challenges teenagers face
Khloé Kardashian is opening up to her audience by answering their question on her podcast, “Khloé In Wonder Land.” While she answered many questions related to her personal life, she even talked about the challenges teenagers face and how to help them with their issues.
A fan asked for her advice for a teenager “who is insecure and wants to lose weight.” While replying, the mom of two admitted that “being a teenager is honestly the worst: the bullies, judgment.” She even said being on social media is also a “really tough place to be; the comparison is horrible.”
The 41-year-old then talked about her teenage years, admitting her she did not have social media and her teen days “were miserable” because she was “chubby, and all people did —adults did — was compare me to my sisters.” She added, “So, it was a really tough position for me without social media.”
The businesswoman further revealed that her “parents never focused” on her “losing weight” at her young age. But they “always” had her in “sports,” even though she was never “a great athlete.” But as she grew older, she realised her parents were “trying to keep” her “active” through sports as she was a “chubby kid.”
She then advised parents that if they think their child is “having an insecurity,” then they should “rewire their brain and be like, ‘You’re beautiful. Always have those encouraging things.’”
However, the socialite stressed that if a child wants to get “healthy,” then one should make them “active” instead of focusing on their “food.” Cutting out things like “sugary drinks and stuff” could be done, but she thinks “food is risky and giving kids food complex too early” might not be good. Thus, Kardashian advised that having “a healthy relationship with food and positioning anything from a health standpoint and with balance” would be “great.”
