Disney Star Leaves Celebrity Mom Group After Multiple Exclusion

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale opened up about leaving her “toxic” celebrity mom group in a candid personal essay. The group of celebrity mothers reportedly included the likes of Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor. Tisdale decided to part ways with the group after noticing them allegedly leaving her out of plans.

Ashley Tisdale blasts celebrity mom group

Ashley Tisdale, who broke out with the role of Maddie in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, wrote a personal essay on The Cut about leaving her celebrity mothers group. Tisdale recalled that the group excluded her from various activities without any tangible reason.

“After the birth of my first daughter, I was craving connection with other mothers,” the mother of two wrote. “I needed someone to talk to about which diaper bag to buy, whether a Snoo is worth it, and how you can possibly get anything done if you’re supposed to ‘sleep while the baby is sleeping,” she added.

While the actress craved genuine connection, she began noticing that she was not always a part of every major plan. “I remember being left out of a couple of group hangs. And I knew about them because Instagram made sure it fed me every single photo and Instagram Story,” Tisdale wrote.

She recalled more instances of feeling excluded. “Another time, at one of the mom’s dinner parties, I realized where I sat with her, which was at the end of the table, far from the rest of the women.”

Tisdale continued, “I was starting to feel frozen out of the group, noticing every way that they seemed to exclude me.” She added, “I still don’t get why I wasn’t at the girl hang that they all planned at my daughter’s birthday.”

This started to overwhelm her. Tisdale revealed that it reminded her of High School, and she started wondering what she was doing wrong. But the Scary Movie 5 star did not stay quiet. She recalled that she sent a message in the group.

Tisdale wrote, “This is too high school for me and I don’t want to take part in it anymore.” This led to mixed reactions from the others, with some even trying to smooth things out with flowers and excuses. But she proudly spoke her mind out. And in the end, Tisdale walked away from something that was bothering her.
