Why Taylor Swift Missed Travis Kelce’s Final Game of the Season — Report

Taylor Swift was missing from fiancé Travis Kelce‘s final game, and the chatter spiked after she was not spotted in the stands. Swift skipped the Chiefs’ season finale in Las Vegas, even as retirement buzz followed Kelce. Still, the absence landed as a security story, not a relationship one.

The pop star had been a regular at Arrowhead this season, yet she largely avoided traveling. Meanwhile, Kansas City’s playoff exit already shifted the mood around the final weeks. Consequently, the finale became less about the score and more about what comes next.

Taylor Swift skipped Travis Kelce’s final game of the season over security concerns — report

According to a Page Six report dated January 4, 2026, Taylor Swift was not publicly seen at Allegiant Stadium. It reported she skipped the Chiefs’ game against the Raiders in Nevada. It also said the Chiefs suffered a “devastating loss” in their last game. However, it framed her absence in terms of safety, noting she skipped away games “due to security concerns.”

The same report noted Swift still showed up for multiple home games. It said she last attended Travis Kelce’s Christmas Day matchup against the Broncos. It also described her as “nervously biting her nails” late in that game.

Earlier, the same publication reported that the pop star attended the December 18 game against the Chargers. Moreover, she was seen holding one of Jason and Kylie Kelce’s daughters in a suite.

Meanwhile, Kelce’s future became part of the story, too, as retirement talk grew louder. Page Six pointed to his “New Heights” podcast message after the playoff elimination. He told listeners, “Chiefs Kingdom, we’re gonna give you everything we got.” The tight end added, “There’s no question about that.”

Still, the report also claimed insiders see a Hollywood lane opening for him. It noted Kelce appeared in “Happy Gilmore 2” and hosted “Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?” for Amazon. One industry source said, “To me, he’s an extremely valuable media personality.” They added, “He’s charismatic” and “a natural on television.”

For now, the Grammy winner’s missed finale reads like risk management, not distance. Yet the next chapter may hinge on Kelce’s decisions after the season ends.
