Video footage shows the 18-year-old smiling as they chatted during the event at SoFi Center, where the brothers sat in the stands and later went down to the turf to speak with golf legend Tiger Woods.
The interaction has gotten backlash from some Swifties online. Comments ranged from “I bet he got in trouble for that when he got home” to “the hell does a 36-year-old man have to chat with an 18-year-old about.” Another fan wrote, “And they wonder why a lot of us og swifties are slowly but surely losing respect for her.” One observer noted the irony of the situation, commenting, “He’s MAGA and she’s a Swiftie.”
The moment carries political weight because Donald Trump has repeatedly attacked Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, who endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential campaign. Trump previously shared AI-generated images falsely suggesting Swift and her fans supported his campaign.
