Even though the royal couple are reportedly set to miss the celebrations at their royal home for the seventh year in a row, a recent report suggests that Harry will be “in touch” with King Charles on Christmas.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have settled into new lives away from the monarchy in the U.S., and it has been years since they last celebrated Christmas with the royal family. However, Harry has reportedly been making consistent efforts to reconcile with his father and even met with him recently.
Amid this, Rob Shuter of #ShuterScoop reported that although Harry and Meghan will be skipping the royal festivities in the U.K. They are expected to reach out to King Charles with a call on Christmas Day.
A royal insider told the publication mentioned above, “They won’t be there in person, but they will be in touch. It’s important to Harry that his father hears from him on Christmas.” While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to call the King, sources allege that Markle has no intention to call her father, Thomas Markle.
According to reports, Markle’s father had surgery recently and is recovering right now. As per the source, the Duchess has all the information about her father and clearly “knows where he is.” However, the source says that she has “chosen not to engage directly” and “won’t even call him.”
A tipster added, “Meghan talks publicly about the holidays being about family — but for her, that definition is very selective.”
Harry and Meghan will reportedly spend Christmas at their home with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be joined by the latter’s mother, Doria Ragland.
