Meghan Markle deleted father’s number with no intentions to see him again — report
As per a report by The Times UK, Meghan Markle has deleted her father’s contact number. On Wednesday, the former “Suits” alum reportedly reached out to Thomas with a letter sent to him in a hospital in the Philippines. Moreover, she has allegedly not tried to make a phone call, fearing it can be overheard. Additionally, the royal is reportedly yet to receive a reply from her dad or any kind of contact.
Recently, the 81-year-old had expressed his wish to see his daughter (Meghan) before he passes away. He told the outlet from his hospital bed, “I’ve always said I am open to reconciling with my daughter.” The retired television lighting director further added, “I have never stopped loving her. I don’t want to die estranged from Meghan.” Moreover, he expressed, “I want to meet my grandkids. It might be nice to meet her husband, too.”
For the unversed, Meghan and her dad once upon a time shared a close relationship before the estrangement in 2018. She also made a heartwarming post for him in 2014 on her now-deleted lifestyle blog The Tig. Meghan wrote, “In celebrating Father’s Day, I think of so many moments with my dad.” “Our club sandwich & fruit smoothie tradition post my tap & ballet class — classes, which by the way, he religiously took me to on Saturday mornings after working 75+ hours a week as a lighting director.”
She continued, “The fishing trips along the Kern River and Big Bear Lake to catch catfish or trout and cook it up for dinner, and the commitment he made to lighting my high school musicals so that they felt as grand as a Broadway show.” Additionally, Meghan said, “The blood, sweat and tears this man (who came from so little in a small town of Pennsylvania, where Christmas stockings were filled with oranges, and dinners were potatoes and spam) invested in my future so that I could grow up to have so much.”
