Jake Paul Says Fighting Sydney Sweeney is ‘Not a Bad Idea’

Jake Paul recently uploaded a new vlog, where he listed some serious and funny names of boxers to fight after the Gervonta Davis match cancelation. Surprisingly, his long list of suggestions also included the name of “Christy” actress, Sydney Sweeney. Paul, funnily, didn’t entirely rule out the possibility of having a match with her, too.

Paul recently uploaded a new vlog on YouTube titled “This Is What You Wanted,” where he revealed the list of people he could potentially fight. Initially, he addressed critics’ suggestions that he should fight a “real boxer,” choose an opponent his own size, and even take on a world champion. So, he revealed a list of “supposed fighters” that he could take on in a boxing ring.

He then says, “So there I was on a Saturday afternoon in my $30million mansion,” he began. “Canelo? Injured. Francis Ngannou? Scared. Floyd Mayweather? My brother beat him. Mike Tyson? Done that. Lennox Lewis? Too young. Ryan Garcia? Easy work. Tommy Fury? Wanted more time.” Further proceeding to some more boxers’ names, he reacts, “Nate Diaz? Been there, done that. Conor McGregor? Owned.”

He was also suggested to fight his own brother, Logan Paul, but responded with “maybe.” He was then surprised to see the name of Sweeney on the list, to which he reacted, “Not a bad idea.” Following the fight cancelation with Davis, Paul has managed to sign another big name in boxing: Anthony Joshua. The bout is set to take place on December 19.

The ‘Euphoria’ actress recently took on the lead role of Christy Martin in the 2025 biographical sports film, which was released on November 7, 2025. It centered around the rise to fame of the 1990s’ renowned female boxer and her 2010 attempted murder by her husband. Unfortunately, the movie debuted at $1.3 million over the weekend, becoming a box-office bomb.
