Dylan Efron finally addressed why his big brother, the famed Hollywood star Zac Efron, has not made an appearance on Dancing With the Stars as part of the live audience. While most expected Zac to be there for his brother, the star has been notably absent so far.
Here’s what Dylan Efron said about the big question.
Dylan Efron explains why brother Zac hasn’t appeared in DWTS Season 34 yet
After Tuesday’s DWTS, Dylan Efron finally addressed the big Zac Efron question. Dylan claimed that though Zac has not turned up on the show directly yet, he has been “supporting” Dylan “every day.” Dylan told Extra, “Hey, he’s doing his thing,” indicating that Zac may be caught in his own work at the moment.
But the rest of the family has been in the stands throughout. Speaking about this, Dylan elaborated, “They were still here this week, too.” He added, “They were front and center.”
Olivia Efron, the young half-sister of Zac and Dylan, was particularly happy after her dance with Dylan during the show’s Dedication Night last week. “Olivia is still on cloud nine. She’s back in dance classes and she’s crushing it,” Dylan said about his sister.
He also added about Olivia, “I wasn’t expecting to be a big brother. She’s 5, and I’m 33. But immediately, I was inseparable from her. She’s everything to me. I want to show her to live her life with confidence.”
Zac Effron, meanwhile, remains active in the industry and is currently engaged in a couple of projects, which could be the main reason he is not around physically to support his brother. He will soon star in Jody Hill’s Famous and Nicholas Stoller’s Judgment Day.
Dancing With the Stars airs every Tuesday at 8:00 PM EST on ABC. It is also available for streaming on Hulu.
