Chinese director and writer Yi Zhou has come out to reveal that Marvel star Jeremy Renner supposedly threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on her after allegedly misbehaving with the Shanghai-born artist. Zhou, who collaborated with the two-time Academy Award nominee on two projects this year, noted the duo was actually dating before their fallout.

The evidence handed over to the Daily Mail by the 34-year-old filmmaker, Zhou, reveals that it was Renner who approached her before they started dating. In accordance, she “invited” the veteran actor to take part in two of her projects. However, one of the meetings, held at Renner’s Nevada residence for the Chronicles of Disney documentary, soon turned ugly. Per Zhou, Renner got so “violent” that it made her fear for her life.
“I was discussing about the doc logistics, then he drank a bottle of wine alone and got angry and angry yelling for two hours,” Zhou said, before adding, “I had to lock myself in a room to be safe, praying he would not come into the room at night, as he was really angry. I did not say a word, I was so scared for my life.”
Zhou even took to her Instagram profile to share more details regarding the incident, even claiming that Renner had sent her “unsolicited pornographic images of himself.”
After the multi-faceted artist mentioned that Renner “used me and denied me and denied our work,” she shared screenshots of messages exchanged between the two where the Hawkeye star allegedly threatened to call ICE on her.
“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me,” Zhou divulged.
At the time of writing this article, Renner has not shared any official comment on the allegations made against him by Zhou.
