A source told the magazine that Harry did not plan the trip himself. The True Patriot Love Foundation, a Canadian military charity he had supported in the past, invited him, and the group set the dates long before either brother’s travel plans were public.
The source explained that the charity set the dates of the event, not the duke. They added that informing Buckingham Palace was “a matter of courtesy.” Besides, according to their claim, the trip was to mark “the period of Remembrancetide,” which runs each year from November 1 to November 11. The report stressed that one cannot modify those dates.
However, the timing did raise eyebrows. On the same night William hosted his star-filled Earthshot ceremony in Brazil, photos of Harry meeting veterans in Canada appeared and made rounds on the internet.
