Jamie Campbell Bower has expressed interest in collaborating with filmmaker Tim Burton once again, years after their work together on Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
During a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight at the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere, Bower was asked if there was another major cinematic universe he hopes to join. The 36-year-old replied thoughtfully, “I don’t know. Maybe.” When the interviewer mentioned Burton’s name, the actor smiled and said, “I would love to work with Tim again. The man is artist and total genius. That would be a blessing.”
Bower began his professional acting career in 2007, starring opposite Johnny Depp in Burton’s Sweeney Todd. The role of Anthony Hope marked Bower’s debut in Hollywood. Since then, he has become known for his performances in major franchises like The Twilight Saga, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones.
Bower later gained widespread recognition for his role as Vecna, also known as Henry Creel or Subject 001, in Netflix’s Stranger Things. He joined the series in its fourth season, earning praise for his chilling performance. A recently released season 5 trailer offers a glimpse at Bower’s character, who appears even more powerful.
The highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things is set to debut in three parts. Volume 1 will premiere on November 26, 2025, with subsequent volumes releasing on December 25 and December 31. The fifth season begins in the fall of 1987, a year after the events of the previous installment. With Hawkins still under strict government watch, Eleven focuses on strengthening her abilities for the eventual confrontation with Vecna.
