This Predator: Badlands prank on moviegoers is hilarious

The clip has blown up online, racking up hundreds of thousands of likes and comments in no time. It shows a Predator standing perfectly still, pretending to be a statue. However, the second people walk past, it jumps to life and scares the hell out of them.

The reactions are priceless. Dozens of moviegoers got spooked, turning the whole thing into a hilarious viral moment. Fans flooded the comments, with one writing, “That towering Predator lurking by the ferns must have given those moviegoers quite the jump!” Another joking, “Lmao this shit is scary!”

One fan joked, “That was one of my childhood traumas, I was terrified of it!” while another gave props to the marketing team, saying, “That’s how you do advertising!”

But not everyone was on board. Some fans called the stunt a bit much, with one commenting, “Public scares like this might seem fun, but surprise fear inside a theater can easily cross boundaries. People go to enjoy a movie, not experience real panic or confusion in the dark.। Safety and consent matter, even in horror-themed promotions. Entertainment shouldn’t depend on making people feel genuinely unsafe.”

Fans online quickly clapped back at him, accusing him of not even writing his own take. One user said, “Do you have any thoughts of your own or do you ask AI to generate all of your bait-y talking points?”

Predator: Badlands releases in theaters worldwide on November 7, 2025. The movie is set on a remote planet in the future and follows Dek, a young Yautja warrior portrayed by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, who has been expelled from his clan.
