In the last minute of the first half, Kelce ran in the middle of the field to prepare for receiving the pass from his teammate, Mahomes. The ball was thrown behind Kelce, which led him to turn and reach for the catch. Unfortunately, his turn led to him colliding with Bishop, resulting in a hit to the chest. Ahead of the hit, Kelce had only one touch for 20 yards. He was then taken to the locker room for assessment.
After suffering the hit, he lay down on the turf. Later, he tried to stand by himself and went to the locker room. It wasn’t revealed whether he faced any injury or not. However, fans were worried about Kelce’s well-being and took to social media to express their concerns.
Last month, Kelce experienced another terrifying fall during his team’s match against the Detroit Lions. He was trying to reach for the touchdown but came in contact with his opponent, Rock Ya-Sin. He fell over on his head, sparking worries about a potential injury.
During the New Heights podcast, Kelce addressed the fall and explained what exactly happened. He said, ” Yeah. He caught me on—he caught me with a charley horse on my thigh. I got a charley horse more than I got anything going on with my neck.” Moreover, he mentioned that he felt “stupid” lying down after his fall. Reacting to the moment from the fall at the match, he further added, “God damn it, Travis. You’re on the f*****g one-yard line. Get in the goddamn end zone. Stop jumping, man.”
