During the game, Kelce was reaching for a touchdown, but he came in contact with his opponent, Rock Ya-Sin. This led to Kelce falling on his head, with many spectators becoming concerned over a possible injury.
Travis Kelce talks about his terrifying fall
On the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce asked his brother Travis about his concerning fall in the middle of the game and how he’s feeling at the moment. Travis said, “Yeah. He caught me on—he caught me with a charley horse on my thigh.” Jason mentions that he observed that Travis got caught in the jump. “I got a charley horse more than I got anything going on with my neck,” the NFL star clarified.
Jason further asks, “Landing on your head was interesting. What the f*** were you doing reaching for the pylon afterward? Did you think you were not down in the end zone?” Travis revealed that he just “felt” stupid lying down after his fall. As the duo watched the clip, Jason said, “You had been down for like four seconds,” followed by their laughter. Travis playfully added, “God damn it, Travis. You’re on the f*****g one-yard line. Get in the goddamn end zone. Stop jumping, man.”
Jason mentioned that his favorite thing from the game was the reach. Replying to Jason’s comment, Travis revealed that the worst part of the fall was that they did it in slow motion on the broadcast. This dramatic fall garnered massive attention from fans, who were concerned about Travis’ health, questioning why no health professional checked on him. Some were worried as to why he was not sent to the concussion tent. Nevertheless, the Chiefs emerged victorious in their game against the Lions, with a score of 30-17.
