British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is facing backlash after past allegations of bullying from the set of Savages (2012) resurfaced online. The controversy began after Mexican actress Sandra Echeverría’s old social media post gained new attention. In the post, she shared a stressful incident from the set of the 2012 Oliver Stone film Savages, in which she co-starred alongside Taylor-Johnson and Taylor Kitsch. The actress alleged that during the filming of a scene where her character was tied up in a van, the actors intentionally revved the truck. This caused her to lose balance and injure herself.
Echeverría said, “My dad saw everything from afar and was purple from anger. I went down all hurt. I decided not to say anything and hold on, but I hated them.” She noted that Taylor-Johnson apologized for the incident at the film’s premiere.
The post gained attention amid reports linking Taylor-Johnson to multiple upcoming projects. Earlier this year, reports indicated that he is a strong contender to take over the role of James Bond following Daniel Craig’s exit.
