A new report reveals that Ana de Armas has been “in a funk” following her split from Tom Cruise. The report comes from The Daily Mail, which shared that the big-budget film the pair were set to star in was put “on hold.” A source told the outlet that the Ballerina star was “disappointed” as she believed that this year “would be very different” for her. However, they clarified that the Spanish-American actress was moving on, hopeful that things would turn around. They also said that she maintained a friendship with Cruise despite the breakup and wasn’t “crying at home.”
The Mission: Impossible star and Knives Out actress broke up a few weeks ago. The Sun reported, citing an insider, that the pair ended their relationship after mutually realising they were better off as friends.
National Enquirer recently alleged that Cruise went into a “meltdown” following his split from de Armas. Citing a source, the outlet shared that the Hollywood star was caught off guard by her rejection of him. They said that the actor couldn’t “wrap his head around the idea that Ana didn’t want him as a life partner.”
However, the source reported that Cruise told everyone de Armas didn’t meet his “standards” and that he called off the relationship. They added that the Top Gun: Maverick actor was “looking for someone with more charisma and life experience.”
RadarOnline recently reported that the breakdown of Cruise and de Armas’ relationship was due to the former’s dating pattern. An insider said, “They clicked right away, but when the film collapsed, so did the relationship. It follows a familiar pattern with Tom – he throws himself in completely, and soon everything starts to orbit around his work and his beliefs.”
