Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas first reportedly connected while working on Deeper, a film they were cast in together, before it was canceled in August. Their chemistry was said to be instant, “immediate and intense,” according to sources, with Cruise taking on the dual roles of mentor and partner.
“They clicked right away, but when the film collapsed, so did the relationship,” a film industry source told RadarOnline. “It follows a familiar pattern with Tom – he throws himself in completely, and soon everything starts to orbit around his work and his beliefs… Ana admired him deeply, but she realized she couldn’t live inside that intensity forever,” the source added.
Friends close to the actor say that while Cruise can be magnetic and generous, his meticulous personality often tips into control. “Tom can be incredibly charismatic, but he’s also meticulous to the point of control,” said a Hollywood insider. “He treats his relationships much like his work – structured, strategic, and tightly managed.
