Chris Evans and Alba Baptista shared a major life update as they officially became parents for the first time. The Marvel star and the Borderline actress confirmed the arrival of their baby girl and revealed her name, marking a new chapter for the couple following their 2023 wedding.

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have welcomed their first child together.
The Marvel actor, 44, and the Borderline star, 28, welcomed their baby girl, Alma Grace Baptista Evans, on Friday, October 24, in Massachusetts. A source confirmed to People that the couple is “enjoying their privacy and these special first few days as a family with their baby.”
Evans and Baptista were first linked in January 2022, with a source confirming to People later that year that they had been dating “for over a year.” The pair married in September 2023 during a private ceremony at a Cape Cod estate. Evans previously told People that he wanted “wife, kids, [and] building a family,” explaining that the relationships people form are what they value most.
TMZ reported that Alma Grace was born at 1:27 p.m. on October 24, and that her full name includes both of her parents’ surnames. Baptista’s father, Luiz, had previously hinted at the pregnancy in a June Father’s Day post thanking Evans and commenting, “Your turn is coming!”
The couple, who met in Europe, have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye. Evans listed his Hollywood Hills mansion for $7 million earlier this year, reportedly to relocate closer to family in the northeast.
Speaking to Access Hollywood at the premiere of his film Red One in November 2024, Evans was asked whether he expected to be a “superhero dad” like his co-star Dwayne Johnson’s character. “Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, absolutely,” he said. “The title of dad is an exciting one.”
