Travis Kelce gets mistaken for Travis Scott during interview

A clip of Travis Kelce getting mistaken for Travis Scott during Patrick Mahomes’ interview has been going viral on X (formerly Twitter).

In the video, fans can see Mahomes interacting with a reporter, who asked him about the tight end’s touchdown record and said, “Travis Scott (Kelce) tied the touchdown record. He told me before the game what it would mean to him. Just what does it mean to you?” Although Mahomes didn’t react to this mistake, fans went on to joke about it in the comments.

A user wrote, “Imagine breaking NFL news and accidentally drafting Travis Scott instead of Travis Kelce… the halftime show just got way more lit, though.” Another user noted, “Travis Scott might actually die if a 230 lb linebacker tackled him.”

On the other hand, some fans are conveying in the comments that the reporter didn’t say Scott instead of Kelce, but stated, “This hasn’t gone viral at all!! Everyone else can understand English, and she said Travis got th…..and corrected herself to say Travis tied.” A third user noted, “Travis got” before rephrasing for those who actually care to use their brain.”

Kelce’s career 83rd TD earned immense praise from his teammate and close pal, Mahomes. Mahomes told the reporter, “He’s the true Chiefs Chief. He is the guy that has been here through the whole thing. Been here with (head) coach (Andy) Reid the entire time. He has helped set the culture, you know? He helped set the culture of what it means to play for Coach Reid and to play in Kansas City, and I was able to come in and then have that guy to rely on.”
