Sarah Ferguson is reportedly “on edge” at the thought of giving up on her Duchess of York title and leaving her residence at Royal Lodge. Ferguson, who married Prince Andrew in 1986, has been living at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, despite their divorce. Now, as Andrew faces pressure to move out of the residence, sources say that Ferguson, too, will be going her separate way and moving to a different home.
Sarah Ferguson’s royal future ‘hanging in the balance’ amid recent events, says source
Sarah Ferguson may have to soon leave her current residence, and the thought has reportedly been devastating for her. Sources said that Ferguson and Andrew have demanded that royal officials offer them two separate homes in Windsor once they move out of their current residence at Royal Lodge.
King Charles supposedly wanted Andrew to move out of Royal Lodge, the residence for which they failed to pay rent for about two decades. People close to Ferguson reportedly said that she is “absolutely bereft” and “completely on edge.”
A source told the DailyMail, “She is contrite and embarrassed but also fears the scandal has fatally damaged her own business interests, including a number of new fictional books that are due to come out.” The source further mentioned that “people don’t want to be associated with her any more.” A friend mentioned that “she has nowhere to go.”
A source mentioned that Charles “is a kind man but his patience has been pushed to the limit.” And with Andrew being pressured to move out of the residence, Ferguson feels that “her future is hanging in the balance.” She is “on the edge,” as she and Andrew have demanded separate homes for themselves in Windsor once they leave Royal Lodge, the large royal mansion they have shared since 2008.
Reports also suggest that the king had made an offer earlier to provide financial assistance to his brother if he left his residence at Royal Lodge. However, it’s unclear if the offer still stands. Only time will tell where Andrew and Ferguson will be residing once they move out of their current home.
