Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband has reportedly spoken out after her recent interview about love drew widespread attention. Ojani Noa believes the singer’s remarks made him look “like a villain.” He also claims she misrepresented their short-lived marriage from the late 1990s.

Jennifer Lopez’s first husband, Ojani Noa, criticized her recent comments about love after her split from Ben Affleck.

In an interview with Howard Stern, Lopez said she had “never been truly loved” and claimed her former partners were not “capable” of loving her. Noa, who spent less than a year married to Lopez in the late 1990s, publicly accused her of rewriting history and presenting herself as a victim.

In a social media post, Noa stated, “Stop putting me down with your victim card. The problem isn’t us – it’s you. You’ve been loved more than once. I was faithful and devoted. You weren’t.”

A source close to Noa told RadarOnline that he had been “stewing over” Lopez’s portrayal of her past relationships for years but felt her recent interview was “the last straw.” The insider added that Noa believes Lopez is “making herself look saintly” and unfairly casting him as a villain.

Lopez met Noa in Miami in 1996 while filming Blood and Wine. They married the following year and divorced in 1998. She previously said her rising fame strained their relationship and explained that success can challenge partners, stating, “Even my husband… has a lot of potential, but he’s not at the point where he’ll make as much money as me.”

After her breakup with Affleck earlier this year, Lopez’s comments reignited public discussion about her romantic history. Sources close to her said she didn’t intend to criticize her exes but wanted to express that “she’s never truly felt emotionally satisfied.” Friends said Lopez felt “shocked” by Noa’s response and upset by the renewed scrutiny of her past relationships.
