Globe reports that Ben Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Lopez does not like Jennifer Garner’s success. Garner has moved past her headline-making divorce from Affleck and is celebrating a thriving career. This has reportedly not gone down well with Lopez, who had to navigate some unfortunate career setbacks. A source told Globe, “People talk about Jennifer like she’s some kind of superwoman, and it really gets under J.Lo’s skin.”
Meanwhile, the second season of Garner’s hit Apple TV+ show, The Last Thing He Told Me, premieres Friday, February 20. Not only that, but also her organic children’s food company, Once Upon a Farm, is set to achieve public company status with an estimated $764 million valuation. The source stated, “She’s going to make a fortune. It’s conceivable that she could hit billionaire status, which is very hard to stomach for J.Lo since she’s not been able to crack that yet herself, even with all her many businesses over the years.”
The source explained that Garner’s flourishing acting career, as well as her business career, hasn’t gone down well with Lopez. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer had to cancel her 2024 This Is Me … Live tour amid reports of poor ticket sales. Moreover, her last theatrical release, Kiss of the Spider Woman, wasn’t successful either. Of course, the fact that they were both married to Affleck at some point adds to the unspoken animosity.
The source dished, “If it weren’t for him, Jennifer wouldn’t even be on J.Lo’s radar. It’s not just that she’s his ‘perfect’ ex-wife. It’s also the state of their relationship now.”
Furthermore, the source shared that Affleck is still deeply fond of his first wife, Garner, and reportedly doesn’t harbor the same kind of affection for Lopez.
