Internet compares man in Louvre Museum photo to ‘Sherlock Holmes’ amid heist investigation

The internet reacted hilariously to the alleged detective in the Louvre museum heist case. Many people online treated this stranger like a scene stealer. He wore a three-piece suit with a gold vest and a fedora. On his right arm, the mystery man carried an umbrella and posed cinematically, adding to the charm of the image.

A user wrote on X, “Actual shot (not AI!) of a French detective working the case of the French Crown Jewels that were stolen from the Louvre.”

Another noted, “The man in the fedora, who looks like he came out of a detective film noir from the 1940s, is an actual French police detective who’s investigating the theft of the Crown Jewels at the Louvre. Pure aesthetic.”

One said, “Young Sherlock Holmes or… just cosplaying.” Some even pointed out that he could actually be an elegant suspect.

Then the photographer who took the picture for Associated Press was asked about his masterpiece that is going viral. Thibaut Camus claimed that the man just walked into the shot. He said, “He appeared in front of me, I saw him, I took the photo.” (via Associated Press)

Then the prosecutor’s office was approached in an attempt to get to the bottom of the whole thing. However, the officers also deviated from the question and said that they would rather keep the mystery alive. Thus, no one knows who this well-dressed man, looking like a detective, appeared from amidst the Louvre museum heist investigation.

As of now, the Parisian police department is taking charge of the case and trying to find who was behind the heist. The suspects are at large.
