Renowned British journalist and gossip columnist Rob Shuter revealed that Justin Timberlake is feeling “deeply uncomfortable.” This comes after Kevin Federline revealed that Britney Spears had contacted Timberlake the night before their 2004 wedding.
“Justin had no idea that story was coming,” an insider told Shuter, adding, “He’s moved on, but every time Britney’s name comes up, he’s dragged back into 2002.”
Despite Federline’s recent revelations, Timberlake has refrained from disclosing his side of the story. He has instead chosen to maintain silence on the issue. “He’s not engaging — not publicly, not privately. He knows anything he says will just blow up online,” a friend of the Cry Me a River singer said, as per Shuter.
A music industry source shared more details on Timberlake’s current position, stating, “Justin’s worked hard to rebuild his image. This is the last thing he wanted. But once again, Britney’s name means his peace is gone.”
