Kevin Federline claims Britney Spears did cocaine while breastfeeding

Kevin Federline has made explosive claims about Britney Spears in his memoir You Thought You Knew. The actor alleges that during their marriage, he witnessed the pop icon using cocaine at a time when she was still breastfeeding their two young sons.

The incident reportedly took place in 2006 at the release party for Federline’s debut album, Playing With Fire. Spears had told him she would be staying home with their children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, but unexpectedly arrived at the event instead.

Federline recalls that her father, Jamie Spears, appeared uneasy. The actor noted, “His expression sat in that flat blank space between disapproval and apprehension, as if to say: ‘She’s here, and it’s not good.’” (via US Magazine)

When Federline entered his dressing room, he claims he found Spears sitting with her brother, Bryan Spears, her agent, Jason Trawick, and an unnamed actress. He alleges that Britney and the actress were “snorting a fat line of coke off the table” while wearing bright wigs. He wrote, “It was surreal. They didn’t even try to hide it.”

Later that evening, Federline says he privately asked Spears not to breastfeed after the party, urging her to use formula instead. The discussion escalated into an argument, and Spears allegedly responded by throwing a drink in his face before leaving. Federline writes that the confrontation ended their marriage, describing it as “the final straw.”

Shortly after, Federline claims he contacted his lawyer to issue a letter demanding that Spears stop breastfeeding. Spears later filed for divorce through her attorney, Laura Wasser. The couple’s two-year marriage officially ended in 2007.

Federline wrote, “It all happened so fast. I couldn’t even catch my breath.”
