Jennifer Lawrence shared some TMI about her new movie with Robert Pattinson. The actress guested on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, October 17, and spoke about her new film Die My Love, with Pattinson.
Jennifer Lawrence danced naked with Robert Pattinson for new movie
Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson were rather close during the filming of their new film, Die My Love. The 35-year-old actress revealed on The Graham Norton Show that she did a “naked” dance with Pattinson. (via PEOPLE).
Lawrence revealed that Pattinson and she didn’t know each other very well before filming their movie. However, dance lessons together proved to be the icebreaker between them.
“Lynne Ramsay, the director, challenged us during rehearsals – Robert [Pattinson] and I had to do interpretative dance lessons together,” she recalled.
However, things did not go as smoothly as planned, and the director added a naked dance twist to their dance lessons. JLaw revealed, “We both embarrass quite easily, and we didn’t really know each other, so it was totally humiliating. Then, on the first day of filming, she asked whether we remembered what we did and asked if we would do it naked!”
Her confession took fellow celebrity guests, Bruce Springsteen and Tessa Thompson, by surprise. The Hunger Games star, known for her sense of humor, wittily replied, “Should I have said no? You all seem quite shocked.”
Notably, the film, Die My Love, is the first time Robert Pattinson shares screen space with Jennifer Lawrence. It is based on the eponymous book and is a psychological black-comedy drama film. Lawrence plays Grace, a writer and young mother who develops postpartum depression and enters psychosis.
Pattinson plays her husband, Jackson, who is also struggling with his wife’s condition and how it affects their marriage.
Furthermore, Lawrence also confessed that ace director Martin Scorsese brought this book to the team and envisioned her in Grace’s role. However, at the time, Lawrence couldn’t imagine the book as a feature film.
She revealed, “When I read the book, I had a hard time imagining it as a movie, but I wasn’t going to correct Marty!” Die My Love is set to release on November 7.
