Torrey DeVitto plays coy about Will and Natalie’s marriage prospects in Chicago Med
The Vampire Diaries actress recently spoke about the relationship between Natalie Manning and Will Halstead in Chicago Med Season 11. Episode 3 sees the two reuniting when Natalie’s son, Owen, is fatally injured, and she returns to the Windy City. However, Will’s involvement in Owen’s condition threatens the pair’s relationship.
Speaking about Will and Natalie’s equation, Torrey DeVitto expressed to Soaps.com, “I think it’s one of those, like, really complicated situations where it’s like, even though something’s not someone’s fault, how do you work against not feeling resentful towards them? So I think that’s where she finds herself with the situation.”
DeVitto further claimed that Natalie’s current priority is her son, and she is in “survival mode.” She added, “I think the last thing she’s thinking about is their relationship. But I definitely think, like I said, it’s hard not to build that resentment. And they have gone through so much, so it’s this whole like, ‘Will it break them? Won’t it break them? Will it break them? Won’t it break them?’ Yeah, it’s complicated.”
And as for Will, he is blaming himself for Owen’s condition. However, it is also possible that the two find comfort in each other during such a tough time. Citing the couple’s tumultuous past, DeVitto opined that “their relationship is stronger than it’s ever been.”
Additionally, Torrey DeVitto touched upon whether Will and Natalie may tie the knot in Chicago Med Season 11. She said, “Um, I mean, it could be, it could not be. I think the one thing that Med does so beautifully is they can leave things kind of open so you never know. We’ll all just have to wait to see, including me.”
Whether Natalie and Will end up together or not is yet to be seen. Nevertheless, their reunion definitely guarantees more drama and twists in the upcoming episodes of Chicago Med.
