Insiders reveal that Keith Urban’s guitarist, Maggie Baugh, is cashing in on the news about the split between Urban and Nicole Kidman. At the end of September, it was reported that Kidman filed for divorce from Urban, ending over 19 years of their marriage. In the filing, the reason was cited as “irreconcilable differences.”
Maggie Baugh isn’t stopping the rumors, insiders say
Insiders told #ShutterScoop that Baugh is “milking the moment” as the news about Kidman and Urban’s split surfaced. They said, “She didn’t start the rumor, but she’s not stopping it either.” With Baugh and Urban romance rumors making rounds, the former recently teased a new single, called The Devil Wins. According to industry insiders, the release of the new song is “no accident.” Another source added, “She’s letting fans connect the dots. Curiosity sells records.”
Urban’s friends mention that he had no involvement in Baugh’s track, but fans are having a hard time buying his claims. This is because he has previously swapped Kidman’s name for Maggie in The Fighter’s live version. The insider further added, “Country fans are loyal to Keith and Nicole. If they think Maggie’s cashing in on heartbreak, she’s finished.” Others reveal that though she’s playing with fire, the buzz is worth it. “She’s got Nashville buzzing,” says a local DJ. “And in this town, buzz is gold.”
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Kidman shared how she’s continuing to look at the positive side of things despite the hurt amid the split. She said, “There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through. You’re going to have to feel it. You’re not going to be able to numb it. You are going to have to feel it, and it’s going to feel insurmountable at times. You’re going to feel like you’re broken, but if you move gently and slowly — and it can take an enormous amount of time — it does pass.”
