Dolly Parton is unhappy with the AI photo of her and Reba McEntire circulating online. On October 8, Parton shared a reel on Instagram to set the record straight.
The “Jolene” singer revealed there were “a lot of rumors flying around,” addressing the issue with her typical sense of humor and country accent.
“Did you see the AI picture of Reba and me? Oh lordy, I mean, they had Reba at my deathbed, and we both looked like we need to be buried,” she revealed.
Furthermore, she quipped, “But I thought, oh my lord, if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed. She might come visit me earlier.”
The 79-year-old singer also took the chance to address the ongoing chatter surrounding her ill health. She revealed fans would feel at ease if they heard it from her directly. Parton stated clearly, “I’m not ready to die yet,” and “I ain’t done working.”
The singer also assured fans that she is doing okay and was, in fact, in the midst of shooting a commercial. She ended the video by requesting fans to “keep praying for me.”
