Prince William has reportedly set his plans when he becomes a King. The Prince of Wales is looking forward to bright days as a future monarch. He wants the monarchy to be modernized, thus becoming more emotionally understanding. Additionally, this step benefits the future of his kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Prince William wants to be ‘more accessible, more approachable’ when he becomes king, source claims
As per PEOPLE, Prince William wants the monarchy to become more grounded as the future monarch. A source close to the palace told the outlet that the Prince of Wales has “been quite vocal about what he wants to do when the time comes.”
The source further added, “[To be] more accessible, more approachable.” Recently, the 43-year-old got candid about the royal life during his appearance in the October 3 episode of Apple TV+’s show, “The Reluctant Traveler.” He also recalled his and Prince Harry‘s difficult childhood amid their ongoing conflict.
The host asked him how he feels about his eldest son taking over the throne someday. To which Prince William replied, “It’s an interesting question, and it’s a big question that one. Because there are lots of things to think about with that.”
William further added, “But obviously, I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do.” He continued, “a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better.”
The Prince of Wales added, “That is caveated with, I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past, that Harry and I had to grow up in – and I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”
William also mentioned, “I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good.” Moreover, he shared, “And I embrace that and I enjoy that change – I don’t fear it.” “That’s the bit that excites me – is the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical change, but changes that I think that need to happen, ” William concluded.
