Prince Harry No Longer Wanted at Invictus Games Due to His Reputation, Says Source

According to Radar Online, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, is at risk of being dropped as patron of his Invictus Games passion project. This comes as he is no longer perceived as beneficial to the wounded warrior charity amid his estrangement from the royal family.

Due to his reputation, the Duke of Sussex, who founded the veterans organization in 2014, has seen his legacy at the foundation tarnished.

According to the New York Post, the UK’s divisive reputation and Harry’s approach to the foundation stand in the way of his legacy at the foundation. He has become increasingly divisive, particularly among the military, and that does not bode well for Prince Harry’s Invictus Games. The source continued, “It is concerning that such a worthy occasion appears to be utilized for PR (public relations) purposes. Ordinarily, senior representatives of the Royal Family would be inclined to participate. Of course, they support the Forces fully, so it would be sad if they felt they could not because of Harry’s attendance.”

Royal Insider reported that several members of the Firm are prepared to step in if the Duke feels the need to step down from his position at the organization. The report added that the tensions surrounding his public image and strained royal relationships may further complicate his leadership, potentially impacting the foundation’s credibility and future direction. Additionally, participation in publicly visible British functions has been marred by Harry’s declining popularity in the UK.

The Duke of Sussex has reportedly “invited” King Charles to the 2027 Invictus Games. However, the royals will have to make a tricky decision, making the Birmingham event front-page news.
