Taylor Swift cleared the air surrounding her Super Bowl performance on Jimmy Fallon‘s show. During the episode, the host asked the 35-year-old to clarify a series of rumors. One of which was refusing to perform in the football league, as she wouldn’t own the rights to “the performance footage. However, she replied, “No.”

Further, Swift offered a detailed explanation, stating, “Here’s the thing. Jay Z has always been very good to me.” She added, “Our teams are very close. They sometimes will call and say how does she feel about…” The singer revealed “that’s not an official offer or a conference room conversation.”

The “Bad Blood” singer continued, explaining that she is asked how she “feels about the offer in general and we’re always able to tell him the truth.” She shared that “which is that I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field.”

The Grammy Award winner talked about the stress of watching her beau play on the field. She needs to take this factor into account while being a halftime performer. Swift explained, “That is violent chess. That is gladiators without swords.” She continued, “That is dangerous. The whole season, I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field.”

“Can you imagine if he’s out there every single week putting his life on the line, doing this very dangerous, very high-pressure, high-intensity sport?” she exclaimed. As such, the singer goes, “like, I wonder what my choreo should be. I think we should do two verses of ‘Shake it Off’ into ‘Blank Space’ into ‘Cruel Summer’ would be great.”

Additionally, Taylor Swift clarified that her decision has “nothing to do with Travis, he would love for me to do it. I’m just too locked in.”
