Lori Loughlin Separates From Husband Mossimo Giannulli After Almost 28 Years

Lori Loughlin, of Full House fame, and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli have decided to split. While there are no official legal proceedings yet, reports have confirmed that the couple has parted ways. This decision comes years after the pair pleaded guilty in a bribery scandal involving their two kids.

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have decided to split, ending their 28-year marriage. Additionally, Loughlin’s representative told People that the couple is “living apart and taking a break from their marriage,” adding that “there are no legal proceedings at this time.”

In 2019, the couple was involved in a high-profile college admission scandal, which was nicknamed Operation Varsity Blues. As per reports, the pair had paid $500,000 to have their daughters, Olivia Jade, a social media influencer, and Isabelle Rose, falsely recruited into the University of California’s crew team. During their trial, both Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to charges of wire and mail fraud.

Loughlin served a two-month sentence in federal prison with 100 hours of community service, while Giannulli served five months with 250 hours of community service. The court also charged them with paying a fine of $150,000 and $250,000, respectively.

Following their release, Loughlin slowly returned to acting, making appearances on Blue Bloods and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Furthermore, she reprised he role as Abigail Stanton in When Hope Calls, a spin-off series for When Calls the Heart. She was fired from the original show for her involvement in the scandal.

During an interview with FRIST for Women, Loughlin opened up about her post-scandal life. “Every day we’re met with different obstacles, but it’s all in how you approach things,” she said. “For me, it’s just persevering, and as an actress, I hear ‘no’ a lot, so I just have to be myself and persevere and try not to let in negativity.”

While talking about forgiveness, she said, “I try to be a forgiving person. I’m not one to hold onto stuff. Stuff happens to everyone. We’ve all been in positions to ask for forgiveness, but to ask for it, you have to learn and know how to give forgiveness, too.”
